The SNV and Hivos/Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme in cooperation with ADB’s Energy for All partnership are organizing an International Workshop on Domestic Biogas on 22-24 November 2011 in Bandung, Indonesia.
The international workshop entitled ”Domestic biogas programmes in Asia; transformation towards commercial sectors and development of effective financing facilities” is expected to come up with an outline of a sector development plan per country leading to the transformation of specific national biogas program to commercial biogas sectors. The plan shall also contain pro-poor commercialization strategy, local ownership and resource mobilization. During the workshop, the Asian Rural Biogas Facility developed by both KfW and ADB shall also be presented and discussed.
A total of 120 persons are expected to participate in the workshop, consisting of selected delegations from 15 countries in Asia , representatives from ADB and other potential external financers and stakeholders from the Indonesia Domestic Biogas Program.
